Just bought a new JD S140 lawn tractor from Home Depot. I have not used it yet, as the parking brake is stuck in the ON position after driving it 6 feet into my garage.
The brake pedal is stuck all the way forward; neither on/off lever nor pedal will move. I searched online and found a couple of mentions of similar situations, including a service tech’s speculation that there was interference between the linkage and the frame.
Dealer is closed for the long weekend, is there anything I can look at in the interim?
I pulled the battery and can see some of the linkage - nothing obvious. Do I need to remove the deck?
