I have a125 John Deere riding mower that is slow in reverse and completely stops on the slightest grade. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for it?

Sounds like the hydrostatic transmission is worn out.

What you are experiencing is usually the beginning of the end of the transaxle.
