Craftsman Smart Rider 30" deck...the most painful, horrid, ungodly lawn mower experience in my life!!! I kept her running for 5 years by constantly rebuilding or adjusting something. Friction disk transmission was by far the worst design I've ran across! Always thought that tranny is what's gonna do her in but...at the end, it was the deck belt! It snapped and somehow snagged up wiring bundle ripping it right out of every electrical connection I can think of including ignition switch! I mean...it was BAD! Short story shorter...scrap guy got her. I'm so HAPPY she's gone!!!

My exact feelings toward a 1884 snapper RER purchased new that was nothing but a piece of aggravating crap.

Sold it with bagger for 5 bucks just to get it outta my site.
