Model #917270773, 42" deck, 18hp. Just bought this mower used and I really like it but trying to get to the root of several issues which may be inter-related. 1) When I put the height adjustment at level 6 (highest), the blade clutch will not disengage without a little downward pressure, like its rubbing against something. I've tried to find points of restriction without success. 2) The linkage between the blade clutch and the mechanism on the deck that tightens the belt and engages the blades keeps coming apart. The junction is held together with a spring retainer which mysteriously vanishes from time to time. Don't know if its being knocked off or just shredded somehow. 3) My deck belt just shredded. I just put the belt on about two weeks ago and has been seemingly fine. Just mowed for about two hours yesterday. Thanks, would love to hear possible solutions.
