Issue with Walker C19 Zero Turn Mower

Hello,
We've been having some issues with our mower. It runs well overall, but sometimes it suddenly shuts down even when the tank is full. At first, we were unsure what was causing the problem. Then I realized that if I open the gas cap to release some air and close it again, it starts up just fine! We got this Walker three months ago, and it's been quite hot here in Idaho lately. Could the heat be affecting the gas tank? Is this normal, or should we have it checked out?

Hello Stephen,

Vented fuel caps went away a few years back, so more than likely the auxiliary tank vent hose is plugged. They tend to hide these vent emissions hoses, so it may take some effort to track the far end down.

Usually, insects will build nests in the open end of any hose they find.
