Just looking at it, $25 seems like a fair deal to me. Get it running, clean it up, then post some more pictures and let us all know how it turns out.

I love it.
I'd pay $25 for that in a heartbeat, running or not. Even if it needed a new piston, rings, crank seals, Reed Valves and a total carb rebuild, I'd consider it a GREAT project for over the winter.
Let us know what you decide, and keep us posted, please. Lots of pics if you get it.

i dont have it yet but the guys holding it till the first for me does anybody know how these run pros and cons about them well not many cons cause its a lawnboy.

It's a great deal for $25, IMO -- even if it needs a lot of work. I love the look of those "suitcase" style D-series.

well i also found a 1976 7264 with a d600 that has a surging issue for 20 in chicago
and a bagger for 10 real close to me in rockford
