Hi All,
Nice site you have here. I had a problem with 1 of my mowers and I thought I would share it here. I was cutting some grass last weekend and took a break for a cup of coffee. Went back out about a hour later and the mower would not turn over. It would spin about half a turn and stop. I thought it was the battery as I had to jump start it that morning. So I went and bought a battery and still has the same problem. After some investigation I found that the small screws that hold the butterfly to the throttle shaft had came out and went into the cylinder and imbedded themselves in the piston causing the piston to hit the head. It didn't do much damage to the piston or head so I cleaned everything up and will put it back together today. Of course, as my luck goes, I bought a throttle shaft kit to fix the carb and it is missing 1 of the tiny screws. Can someone here tell me the proper method and setting for the valves? Also does the aluminum push rod go in the intake or exhaust valve? ( I forgot which 1 it was in) Thanks!
