Today I traded in my Scag Liberty for a 729 G2 with a Kubota. I'm back on a Grasshopper. It is a used machine and I'll pick it up in a couple of days after it is fully serviced, but it's nice to know I will be able to plow again.
I had a 725 I purchased in 2001 and luved the machine... powerful and very little trouble from it. But when I sold my home, between working a partime job and spending a couple days in the hospital, I ran short of time and left it to the new owners. I know, I know... I'm still kicking myself, but this 729 has low hours and was purchased new from this same dealer that has serviced it since 2012. I think I will be happy! :)

I would trade a Grasshopper for a Scag any day! Not a fan of Grasshopper. I do like the Kubota diesel engine though on some of their equipment.

Scag is a close second in my book, but I needed to be able to use a blade in my yard. I tore out the old landscaping here and had new driveway poured... now to bring in dirt and level off, and that I couldn't do with the Scag.
I purchased a walk behind Scag back in the early 90's and had zero issues, but when I moved I needed a bigger deck as I was mowing more poperty. Hench the 725 with a 61" deck and Kubota... 20 years and no major issues with it. I leveled out alot of dirt and plowed my drive for years with it also. This 729 has only 800 hours so it should last me since I'm in my senior years.
