ignition problem

I have a wheel horse 252h with a kawasaki FB460V engine. I just ordered a new ignition because there was no spark. The new ignition arrived, I just installed it and still no spark. I even unplugged the ground wire from the ignition and no spark. Does anyone know what is wrong?

When I bought the tractor from this guy, I remember he had trouble starting it. He was cranking it for 15 minuted before it started. I got it home and I guess since it was still warm i was able to shut it down and then start it back up again and I drove it around a bit that day. The next day I went to start it and it wouldn't, no spark. I thought the ignition was maybe going bad, so I ordered a new one. Still, nothing. I think this is a really nice tractor, and id like to get it going, i've already spent $150 on it.

Your problem sounds similar to the (demagnitized flywheel?) thread..

make sure the coil is getting 12v from the ignition switch

When you say ignition, are you talking about the key switch or the actual coil that the spark plug wire goes to?
