Why?

Just unplug the "kill" wire and pull the rope and check for spark.

If you are correctly testing the coil for spark, and when you pull the rope and don't get spark, then either the coil or the flywheel is bad.
And I have been working on this junk a long time, and never found a flywheel to be bad.......

Yeah, there are a lot of sources for small engine "coil testers", but the unit on your table is the best "tester".....

I just picked up a trimmer from a bone yard and it uses a coil part#753-04324. Mine used part #753-04336 . Are these coil inter changeable?
