I have two push mowers made in 1992 and 2005 that have the old B&S Classic 3.5 HP engine. My last ignition coil finally failed, and after a dozen hours of searching I can't find a part number. Not even B&S seems to know these engines existed, although millions of them were built. The engine models are 95902 and 91902, the bolt spacing is 2.5" and the flywheel is 5.75". I bought a coil online that looked identical, but it turned out to be for a larger flywheel and the gap is too large to get a spark.

Any info is greatly appreciated. I know lots of people must remember these engines.

95902: Coil part number: 591420
91902 model isn't showing, but it might be 9J902, Which uses the same coil as above.

Thank you!!!

The other mower may very well be 9J902, it's not exactly easy to read the numbers anymore.

Post us a picture of the number you are talking about, the 91902.

I don't think the picture successfully attached, and it's bad anyway - took it in the shed and had to shrink it in half. But zoomed in, even I can easily see that it's 9J902.
