Where can I find a cross reference for a Yard Man riding lawn mower and the 18.5 HP Briggs & Stratton engine?
It is a Yard Man I/C/42 Industrial/Commercial Limited Edition mower according to the decals on it. The ID tag is missing from the seat.
It has a B&S Eng. V Twin Model: 42A 907 Type: 1238 01 Code:8706 105A
The Problem is that we cannot get the deck to attach and operate correctly. We think there are parts missing for the deck attachment and need to look at the parts diagram to determine what is missing and for the correct placement.
It appears to be several years old and will also need some operating parts on the deck replaced.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

ILENGINE
The engine says it is a 1987 model, which MTD doesn't give much information on their older models. I tried searching with the 1987 models, but there are way too many to narrow down your model. A picture of the mower may help to determine what series it is at least.
