I think deck is out of level

I just bought a new Ferris 700 and am happy with it so far. However, I noticed the last time I mowed it seems to not cut evenly. By this i mean it seems to cut slightly lower on the right side. The first couple of times I cut it cut fantastic. I'm wondering if the deck needs to be re leveled?
This leads me to my next question. I looked in the operators manual an this seems to be pretty involved to do this. I'm sure someone out there must have don this on their machine. I'm also wondering if it is as complicated as it seems to me. I'm also wondering if these decks are knocked out of adjustment easily or this is something I will need to address on a regular basis.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Mike:
My experience is with yard tractors but I bet the same applies to your ZTR. First I would check your tire pressure. Is one side low? That could throw it off some. If not then I think that a new mower is just like anything else mechanical in that it may settle out a little after the first few uses. Whoever did the setup for you did it brand spanking new and now that you have used it bolts and chains etc. may have dropped/settled after the first mow or two. Leveling the deck shouldn't be to difficult if a little tedious. I won't pretend to kno the specifics on a Ferris but I am sure that between the Owners Manual and the internet/YouTube there are plenty of instructions on how to go about it. If memory serves me well I remember it being a step by step 1-2-3-4 process where you move on tho the next step only after you get the previous one done and accurate. I also remember having to go through the steps a second time to get it completely level. As for how often, I don't remember having to do it often at all after I got it level. Hitting things with the mower or deck and mowing on rough bumpy terrain would most likely increase the fequency though. Hope this helps even if just a little.

Thanks for replying. I did go thought the leveling process and that seemed to correct the problem. I was thinking the same thing in regards to the components and hardware settling. I did have to do it two times however. I did the initial level then tried it and it still seemed to be a little off. When I checked it after trying it, it seemed to come out of adjustment again. Re leveled it and it seems ok. I did stop at the dealer and looked at a couple of new units they had and I could see how I can tell visually if there may be a problem in the future.

Will be trying it again this weekend and will see how it holds up.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate your time!
