I should introduce myself...

I know I'll have lots of questions. I have a Honda HRR self-propelled lawnmower, and a Mahindra Max tractor with a front end loader. Having trouble with both, and hope I have found the answers here reading through old posts. If not, I'll be back to ask. I'm completely new at working on anything with a motor. But, Google knows everything and I have tools...and optimism .
Now I'm heading out to change the spark plug and clean my first carburetor. Should be fun!?

#self-sufficient . Lol

Thanks, I'm sure I'll be here quite a bit, since I am determined to learn how to DIY basic small engine repairs. (And learn to weld, but that's another forum. Lol ).
I'll try to save my questions for the answers I can't find with a little research through old posts or owners manual.

Here's a link on how to thoroughly clean a typical Honda carburetor:
How to Clean a Honda Carburetor

BUT, you may just want to buy a completely built new carb. Most for the HRR series have list prices < $20.00

Get the full serial number off the back of the mower deck (MXXX-1234567) and use this official Honda site to look up a part number:

Honda Power Equipment, Engines and Marine Factory Parts Lookup

Once you get the part number, Google it to find a dealer selling online, or use this link to locate a Honda dealer near you:
