I have a DR Trimmer that is quite old. It has a BS 122h02-0119-B1 and I need some help with the carburetor. Something in the past while it was serviced the governor spring was altered. I need a detailed description how the spring is attached? Here is a view of the spring.

Other than being stretched out the spring is connected correctly.
When I purchased this DR trimmer/mower with the BS 122h02-0119-B1 engine the carburetor was a choke system. Somewhere along the way when I had it repaired the choke system carburetor was replaced with a primmer system carburetor. I have found recently that rather than clean an existing carburetor it is easier to just replace it with a new one. So, my next question is should I go back to the choke system of keep the primmer system?
