Mower deck I have a Dixon speedztr 42. The belt is my problem. It is fraying.

the belt on my speedztr 42 appears to be because it is rubbing on a metal bracket (right at the front of the belt system). This L shaped gold colored bracket is attached under the left idler pulley. Has anyone had this problem?

That's probably a belt keeper you are talking about, they shouldn't be rubbing the belt, see if you can get a big pair of pliers and bend it back just a bit.
If you can post a picture of it.
