I lost the spark on my LB 8231. After thinking about it for awhile, I thought that I would clean all the metal to metal contacts that the CD pack made. I removed all of the oxidation from the areas where the mounting screws went through the pack on the bottom of the pack and the top of the mounting studs where the pack touched. All of a sudden, a hot spark appeared!!!!!!s
I guess that there was sufficient resistance to prevent a good "ground" to the CD pack. I should have known to do this check but old age struck again. Lol
L hope what I have learned will help others when trouble shooing intermittent or total loss of spark. You are group of good people who offer advice to others.
