Hey.

I came on a few weeks ago, and asked about buying a new mower.

I thought I'd update the group about what we ended up buying.

We bought an eXmark Quest, S series, with a 50 inch deck.

I got a chance to mow the lawn, between rain showers this weekend.

I was very happy with it.

And, we didn't blow the budget. Our budget was $4,000. Total cost, plus tax, plus back up oil filter, and air filter, minus trade in was $3,989.

Bob B,
What year/make/model was the "trade-in" and how much did they give you for it?

My dad went in with us on the mower, so we traded in both ours and his. His mower was a really old really cheap White rider mower.

Ours was a 2000 series Cub Cadet rider, I think it was a 2185. It was 15 years old.

The dealer gave us $250 for the pair. Basically, washed out sales tax.

Hopefully we use this one for 20+ years, until it's worth nothing, too.
