I have a 3 yr old Craftsman Mid-Engine Rider, 13.5 HP. This is the first mower I've owned with Hydrostatic "speed control" instead of conventional shift. What I'm unhappy with is the "creep" that the transmission exhibits when going up a hill. The speed control slowly migrates or creeps to a slower speed. So I have to to keep one hand on the speed control to maintain a constant speed. It happens to a minor degree on level ground , and not at all when going down hill. I do not think the belt is slipping , because with my hand steadying the speed control it can maintain a constant speed. Looking for a way to tighten up the movement of the speed control. Wish I had stayed with conventional transmission.
