Hello all. Hopefully someone can help me out here with maybe a assembly order or something I am doing wrong. Basically I have a 2009 Husqvarna LTG2554. Apparently there is a common issue with the axle shaft shearing off due to too much torque and Husqvarna used too small of a transaxle. So I had the left side shear off. Transaxle is a Tuff Torq model K46AW 0002285-0009005. I ordered new parts and waiting for them to come but I am practicing putting it all back together to make sure its 100% correct. I am only replacing the 2 axle shafts. The rest of the parts are ok. The issue is I get it all together starting with the right side first which has the longer axle shaft and get everything in place with no issues. But when trying to get the C retainer clp on to the axle shaft by the thrust washer there is no clearance to get the C retainer in place. Has anyone ever replaced the shafts on one of these transaxles and know of a different way to assemble this? There is simply no clearance to get the retainer down on the shaft so it can seat into the recessed spot on the differential gear. Thank you.

Nevermind I figured it out. Problem was I was trying to install the thrust washers upside down.
