Hydro gear low rpm

Howdy all. I have hydro grear 3400 issue. Ongoing leak from cracked reservoir. Right side acted funny at start of mow but then normal for awhile till it lost power. I cleaned oil residue best i could, and belt tension doesn’t seem to be a problem. Left side pulley spins fine but ride side is much slower. Is this likely a symptom of air inside or another internal issue? I have tried to purge. Thanks

Btw, it has high hours. Both sides seem to have a slight whine, but have ran fine since purchased used a year ago.

Also, right control lever moves back and forth with more resistance than left side.

What is “high hours?”. Does mower have steering dampers on steering arms, and is does one damper need to be replaced? Obviously you need to replace the cracked hydro reservoir. Go through hydro purge procedure if you think it needs it.

I removed the pulley and found the splines were worn down, so it wasn’t turning the spindle. The nut must have worked loose and oil residue probably factored in.

A keyed shaft and pulley probably would be better (and no oil leak)
