Long story short. I couldn’t get my lawnmower to start and eventually got to the coil and pulled the kill wire, and it started right up. But then I pulled the Hydro knob and nothing happened. The foward and reverse pedals do work. I do not hear the Hydro pump and motor as I normally would. This mower sits in an open, shed out in the country, and I would not doubt that mice or rats have gotten to the wires somewhere. Which is probably the problem that the coil kill switch indicated. Just have no idea where to start. Also I had recently pulled the rod in the back of the mower so that I could roll the lawnmower. But I had it back in place. This is a 1998 JD LX 255 once my father’s pride and joy and now it’s my frustration.
