I have a tiger cat w/61 in deck and I changed the oil and filled the filter before installing it like the manual said. The manual said it takes 2.5 quarts of oil to fill it to with in 3 and 1/4 inches from the top. I have put in 2 3/4 quarts and its still 3 and 3/4 inches from the top. Do I keep pouring oil in till I get to the 3 1/4 inches from the top? Thanks

Are you using Scag OEM filter? If so, just add amount manual specifies.

Don't overfill it. 3 inches from the top is plenty or it may overflow when running. Just make sure all the air is out of the hydro system. Once the air is purged you may have to top off. I did this recently. I had to top off a couple of times. Best to raise the back wheels if possible.

Tiger Cats have an aluminum insert in the hyd oil reservoir, the full level is at the bottom of the insert. The side hole in the insert should face forward.
