When mower heats up it will not restart. Thought it might be the carburator. Have cleaned the carb, checked the valves and adjusted the coil air gap. I also installed 2 new coils. You can mow all day long with it but if you shut it off, it will not restart until it cools down. Any ideas? Thanks

After shutting down the hot engine, you say it won't start. Does that mean the starter wont' turn over the engine, or it turns over (spins the engine) but never starts?

Do a spark check on each plug when it is in this "hot/no-start" condition. Do you have good spark on both plugs? If not, there's an ignition issue. If you do have good spark, it sounds like a fuel delivery problem of some kind.

If you'll share the serial number off the side of the block (GXXXX-1234567) I can share some troubleshooting steps to try.

I am having the exact same problem on my 20 hp honda fast track. Once the engine gets hot & you shut it odd it will crank but not start. It even backfires. I have replaced big coils, wiring, seat switch, ignition swith & the relays & it still does it. My serial# on my mower is 03087100. Model# 926501. I would appreciate any thoughts as to what can be causing this. Thanks, Paul
