I've got a hustler fastrac, model 928520, with a Honda gxv610 engine, unsure of hp. I was having issues with it not starting which eventually wound up being a bad wire going to the solenoid. Wife's uncle tore it apart to diagnose but passed away before it got repaired. Now I've got it put back together, year and 1/2 later, and it finally starts and runs. When it starts it seems to be running at a high rpm but when I try to drive it the engine rpm drops and even more if I engage the blades. I feel like I don't have the governor linkage hooked up correctly but can't really find any online help.
Ok, so thank you for the link. After checking 700 things I figured out I didn't have one of the spark plug boots pushed all the way on. Once I accomplished that simple thing it worked...
