Facts: January 2022 - Drove mower onto utility trailer. Unit ran fine, no issues.
The mower sat in the woods under a tarp for over a year as we relocated.
Gas was left in tank but treated been treated before storage / did not remove battery.
This weekend I finally got the mower to our new home, power washed mower, inspected for mice or rodent nest / damage. Replaced Fuel in tank, New Oil and Filter, New Spark Plugs and Air Filter. Battery - Clearly dead, but took and has kept a charge.
When Choked Engine starts, dies when choke is closed. I have let the engine idle until warm, but dies when accelerator is opened or the choke is pushed closed.
Treated fuel does not prevent fuel deterioration. If your lucky the carburetor is still savable and if you can find someone to competently clean it. Best practice, drain fuel before storage. Second best, use Kawasaki ethanol free fuel with a guaranteed shelf life. Good luck.
