Hustler Fastrak battery keeps going dead

My father has a Hustler Fastrak that has been a great mower till recently. A couple weeks ago my father ran the mower for an unknown amount of time with the over temp light on and since then we have had several problems. Last week the factory installed battery that had been in it for about four years went dead so I went to orieleys and got another battery and it ran great for a couple mowing sessions. Three days ago the battery was dead when I went to use it and after discovering an unplugged wire I fully charged the battery and it worked fine. After sitting for a day and about an hour of mowing today when I killed the mower and tried to start it back up I figured out the battery had died again. Does anyone know what the cause could be for the battery draining so?

If you can find the resistance spec for the block temp sensor you can test the sensor to see if it's bad by doing a resistance test.
