I am having problems with my riding lawn mower. It runs just fine until i try to engage the blade. When i do the switch to engage the blade, it kills the engine. Please advise.

Does the engine sputter and die or does it kill it like you turned off the key?
probably a seat switch or other safety switch.

It is like you turn the key off. I have changed the seat switch, changed the switch to the mower, it still shuts off when trying to engage the blade.

Could it be something to do with the clutch switch?

It can be the seat switch connector itself that is problem as it has a shorting strip in it that may be damaged.
