Husqvarna lawn tractor YT42DXLS torque strap brackets/lower drawbar damage

Twice now since I bought the mower 3 years ago, I've had to replace BOTH torque strap brackets and the lower drawbar due to the brackets cracking - both where they attach to the tranny housing/chassis and to the lower drawbar - which also cracked and broke where the bolt holes are located. These breakages result in the tranny literally dropping on the ground. Just days ago, I repaired the damage for the second time in two years - a mighty job for a DIY guy like me. It's a bear to fix. I mow an acre and a half - about 1/2 acre being quite rough, hilly with some rocks, but have never had a major incident which I could link these breaks to. The unit has an automatic locking differential, which really sold me on the machine, it's a 42 in. deck, 20hp mower.

I wonder if anyone out there has experienced the same problem, and if you may know what's underlying this. The only thing I can think of is questionable quality in the brackets themselves. In fact, I've also had to replace a scalping wheel bracket due to it bending. Neither of these things should happen. I love the mower, its traction, power, and the transmission (hydrostatic). I have developed severe arthritis in my wrists/fingers and can't do these kinds of repairs anymore because of pain/loss of dexterity, so I'm ordering a Deere X-370 (power steering!!!) in the Spring. I will sell the Husky, and I have spare brackets, but I am hesitant to sell it to someone if it's going to be a lemon. Any suggestions or advice?

I would call Husqvarna Customer Support & ask if they have had a recall on your mowers issue & let them know about the problem. Be sure to have your tractor Model & Serial Numbers handy in case of recall.
