OK Long time since I used a forum . Here's the best I can tell you . I have a 23 hp V-Tech no compression , Heads Off appears to have broke both connecting rods !! Have not tore down any further as I don't have much knowledge as to repairing the lower end 
I want to know is this some problem that others have had with the 23 V-Tech ?
Well I also can say that when and if they broke there was not so much as a peep just clear spin sound ! Is it possible they broke without causing any damage ? Would u think this is something I could fix easy enough by myself keep in mind I am very mechanically inclined and able to work on almost anything just by tearing it down and put it back together ! Please ur comments will be a big help :smile:
On a 2nd mower same as 1st but this mower was given to me it has compression but it appears it has been blowing a little oil out from somewhere ! Rings ?
