I replaced the old carb with a new one and now when I go through thicker grass the mower will die out is there a way to adjust the carb to make it run faster so it will not die out in the grass?

There will be a fuel air mixture screw on the carb. It will be a round head which can be adjusted with a flathead screwdriver. It will also have a spring that covers the threads. Rule of thumb is screw all the way in and turn out 1 1/4-1 1/2 turns then fine time from there.

I thought that also but on this carb model it says it is a non adjustable model except for the idle speed..Do you have any other ideas why it would try and die out in thicker grass or would you try increasing the idle speed? Thanks

What kind of carb is it? What kind of engine is it? Sounds to me like the float level is too low, the linkage is not installed right or the governor is not set properly. Only guessing because I don't know what I am looking at.

I think that you may have a problem with your governor or governor linkage. I'm sorry it is to difficult to tell you how it has to be hooked up. Unless someone who is more computer savvy, who can give you a diagram of how it is hooked up, I suggest you take it to the shop.
