Husqv 125C weed trimmer starting problems

Hi,

I have a Husqvarna weed trimmer 125c that I'm trying to get going after 2 years of disuse.

I've drained the old gas and replaced it with newly mixed gas, albeit 87 octane (minimum required); cleaned the air filter, removed the spark arrestor and cleaned.

I prime it and try to start with the choke closed. The engine starts while the cord is pulled but stops when the cord retracts. On rare occasions it'll run for another two seconds, then die.

What should I be looking at in order to get this running again?

Thanks

Check the fuel lines first. They go away quick.

I have, in addition to the spark arrestor (cleaned), air filter (cleaned) also cleaned and washed the fuel tank, replaced the fuel filter, and cleaned the lines going from the tank to the carb.

The only thing I haven't done yet is pull the spark plug and see if it's dirty. Beyond that, I've done everything I can think of.

You haven't had the carb off and cleaned it have you...? unless I have miss that out somewhere..!
