Last week my mower started smoking when i was cutting through some brush, so i shut it down and then it wouldn't start again. I didn't see any obstructions and i couldn't get it to crank over. long story short, i'm pretty sure that something in the clutch plate that engages/disengages the mower deck busted and that was causing everything to bind up. (currently the mower is in my garage and the engine is all unhooked and ready to pull off the mower, the head is off, etc etc from me trying to figure out why it wouldn't roll over. anyway, i found some metal shear crammed in the top of that clutch plate, and everything in the motor spins fine when the plate is unhooked from its stop, so i'm 99% sure thats the problem.
So, i've been parts searching and can find stuff for the engine, and the mower deck, but can't seem to locate parts for that drive shaft assembly, specifically that clutch assembly... any help? also, anything i should do to ensure i'm right about this being the problem?
