Huqvarna R220T

Trying to make a final decision on a new rider.
Does anyone have any experience with the articulating mowers? Space is limited in the shed and to get to the back of the yard so a 42" Z is too large. The R220T has a smaller body and with a 41" deck it will fit well.
Looking for opinions.I like the flip up service position for the deck and blade work.
Thanks

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I just saw this thread. Did you decide to go with the articulating mower? The R220 is a great mower. It gives a very finished cut similar to a much more expensive Walker. It is also durable. The ease of servicing the deck is a huge selling point and the price isn't too bad, in my opinion. I assume you have a local dealer you like and trust. That being the case, I would go for it.

That looks to be a nice mower. I had no idea anyone made a mower like that except for Kubota. I wish I had seen that before I bought my Toro. That is what I need to eliminate having to weedeat, trim mow in places the z turn wont go and then getting on the mower and mow the yard. That could get into most places and eliminate some of the work.

I, like user jimrs, had never looked at the Husqvarna Articulating Rider and I've looked at a lot of Husqvarna lawn tractors and ZTR's. That indeed is a neat-looking mower and relatively inexpensive for it's features. User RTMower giving it a very thumbs up review doesn't hurt either.

I have a video of us using it on some super tall grass. I will try to find it. It does an incredible job and the video show it.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I decided over the weekend that I will probably get the 220. The dealer is new to me but been around a long time.
Hopefully I will have time at the end of week to make a deposit and get it ordered.

Had a little time today so I ordered the R220T with the 41" combi deck. Not sure when it will come in, but I am out of town the next two weeks.
Thanks, RT for the advise.

Hi, I've got the husky r220 also and it would have to be the worse cutting mower I've seen. I noticed you said yours is fantastic and u have a video of it in long grass?? Where can I find that video? My rider misses patches everywhere. The dealer has said my grass is too long ( it's about 4 inches long with some longer straw like stalks), it's the type of grass, u need to mow it twice to get the bits it's missed and the blades are blunt due to rocks. I have only used it 4 times since new and yes I have hit a few rocks but nothing out of the ordinary..

So I would really like to know why the difference.

Thanks
