HU700H Transmission Slipping

What is the mechanism this mower uses for it's clutch? Mine is starting to slip a lot, even though the cable feels nice and tight. The mower is only about 4 years old and is in great shape. But I have some steep areas of my lawn that are probably hard on whatever form of clutch it uses.

This mower has a Honda motor, which runs great. But I hope it doesn't use one of those permanently sealed honda transmissions that is not serviceable.

Wow,that sucks! I too have this same mower without the same problem. The only problem i've come across is the shut off valve.Doesn't shut off, lol.I wouldn't want to wait too long getting that serviced ,and making it worse or UNserviceable.Surprised Bertsmobil hasn't chimed in.He usually has good sugestions.

There is no clutch on this push mower, When was the last time you changed the drive belt? Most common cause for this problem is a worn belt.

I have never replaced the belt. If belt is the "clutch", then that's nice and easy.
