I have a Honda HRX217. I had to use a press to get the pulley off the upper roto-stop assembly. Should it be that tight of a fit? The bearing is fine. Nothing is scored. is there an easy way to get it back on? All you-tubes show a easy press fit not an interference fit. Do I have any options?
Polish the outer surface of the pulley fit area for the bearing with some fine grit 1" wide mechanic's/ plumber sandpaper or crocus sanding paper. Most hardware stores have it in the plumbing section for copper pipe solder preparation.
Sand it down just enough to fit comfortably using a little WD-40 spray.
