Debating beetween these two models. Leaning toward the VYA, as I think it's pretty convenient to leave the motor running while I move a branch or trash out of the way, empty the bag, etc. Seems like it's worth the $70 upgrade. OTOH, with a clutch, cable, interlock, and throttle lever, it seems there's a lot more complexity and potential problem areas for things to go wrong. Honda 3 year warranty kind of makes the problem moot, but there is the hassle of bringing the mower back to dealer or authorized repair shop if warranty repair is needed.

Honda engines are relatively easy to (re)start (I have a Honda powered pressure washer, so I am familiar with Honda and will never again buy a B.S. motor), so is the added complexity to keep the mower really worth it? Search hasn't found any problems reported with the blade stop system

K.I.S.S. with the 'VKA, or go for the convenience of the 'VYA? Please help me decide.
