I have a HRB215 SXA mower with the blade brake and I just recently replaced the transmission and am now having issues with the clutch. After the tranny install the mower would could not be started via the rope pull. It felt like the mower was locked up. However, when I engaged the blade via the controller, I was able to start the mower and the tranny worked. When the blade was disengaged the brake dragged the engine down to the point where it would kill the mower. I did not change any of the settings or disassemble the clutch when I replaced the transmission.
Any thoughts? Do I need to adjust the cables? or do I have a bigger issue?
