Can anyone tell me how they clean a corroded carburetor. I have a Snapper LP21550V with a Briggs and Stratton 099772-3643-01 Code 94012804. The carburetor assembly is not available anymore and I have no choice but to clean it. It has very bad white corrosion inside of it. I recently received this mower along with another one for $20. This one has been sitting in a garage for a long time. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

about all you can do is go to a parts store and get a gallon bucket of carb soak with the basket and pull the carb apart and put it all in and let it soak your supposed to let it stay in for 20 mins but if its that bad it may take longer then just blow it all out with air it may take a couple times of doing this to get it good and clean good luck

Do some research on soda blasters. You will be amazed at what can be accomplished and you can even make a soda blaster on a budget. Harbor Freight has two that I'm aware of and they sell baking soda in large quantities. Youtube has some cool videos of soda blasters in action. The blasters are used to remove graffiti from many types of surfaces without harming the surface itself and the way the soda "explodes" is how all this is accomplished. Soda is also water soluble so it will simply rinse away under a stream of water with no harmful effects to the environment.

Thanks for the tip-I also found some stuff called Metal Rescue, may try that also. If anyone has a used carburetor for this engine please let me know!

For not much more than a gallon of some of the chemical cleaners you could buy an ultrasonic cleaning unit , clean your carburetor and then go into business. It should do well since everyone seems to have a dirty carb.

the main thing is that your jets and passage ways are free and clear
