How much is too much (cam lobes)

Parting out a blown Briggs engine, 31P977 0635 E1. The exhaust lobe is 1.23. Intake is 1.18. There's still a lot of lobe left, so the valves will still adjust.

Just looking for some input on this. As in how long the cam will last if I put it in another engine. (Under normal engine operation)

The lobes should still be within spec and usable as long as the oil was changed reasonably often. The automatic compression release is the weak area. Briggs is coming out with or already has a new design that will retrofit older engines.

That cam is no good to anyone with good conscious. It is a segmented cam rather than a one pc. forged right? They had a bunch of these which did not have the cam lobes properly hardened resulting in premature wear. Sure you can set the Clarence BUT the valve will not open enough reducing charge intake and power. Eventually, probably not too long, engine will not run
