How many needle bearing pins for an F140 crankshaft to connecting rod bearing?

8237 Ser 9424117. Rebuilding this engine and ordered a NOS set of needle bearings OMC number 677963 for the connecting rod to crankshaft bearing. Dummy me lost a few needle pins when I disassembled the engine. There were 34 needle pins in the sealed package stuck together with some sort of assembly lube. I set the bearing strip in the connecting rod and set the crankshaft on them. Folded over the two ends and it appears there are too many needle pins. My question is, how many needle pins are supposed to be in the connecting rod to crankshaft bearing?
