I've always assumed Scag mowers were top of the line - one of the best that you could buy. While chewing the fat with a friend, I realized I have nothing more than my opinion to back up that assertion. So....am I correct? Do Scags have issues? I am not currently looking for a ZT mower, this is just for my own information.

Of course all mowers have issues over time especially if abused.

But the Scags that I worked on have been fairly robust. As have been JD and Hustler Super Zs.

It is hard to beat a Scag.

Great mowers but expensive. What isn't expensive these days?

I'm happy with mine, going on 5 years.
