How do you tell what year?

Hi, anybody know how to tell what year this is? Previous owner doesn't know or have owners manual and the date tag is gone off the back. All I have is what's in these attached pics.

Info: Murray Ultra, 20 hp Briggs & Stratton Diamond engine, Model 460777, Type 1277 01, Code 9601155B, 46" triple blade

If the original engine. The engine was made in 96, so that should be a fairly close year for the mower, within a model year anyway.

Thanks for your reply. So it's a '96 engine!?! Great. I finally got it to add pics if you want to look. (Does it look like a '96?) That helps a lot and was about where I figured it was.
