how do i flush the drive hydraulic pump on a scag mower?

I blowed a wheel motor on my scag mower and replaced the hydraulic unit. i need to be sure there is no metal in the system. how do i flush the existing drive motor and lines

Clean the hoses and replace the filter. The oil passes through the filter before going to the motor

In our shop we disassemble, clean and inspect them when this happens. We can't take a chance that the filter is going to catch any leftover chips. Don't want to make the customer coming back with a costly repair, because we took a short cut and prayed it will work. Pumps and labor the second time cost money.
