Hello, I am considering buying this mower . I am handicapped and can no longer use any type of rider. This has a 224cc Lonkin motor which operates the blades and the treads are operated by onboard batteries, It is only a 20" cut .It weighs @250 lbs so seems pretty substantial . It operates remotely from over 300 feet away. Does anyone have any experience with anything like this ? I'd love some advice before I take a leap of faith. Thanks for reading this.

Robotic mowers, I have never used one. Listing the make and model may help with getting answers to your question. Likely a Loncin motor that you can do an online ratings/review search.
How close is the local dealer that would supply parts, blades, batteries or pick up for service ?
So this mower has a remote control that you operate by hand. Have you given the mower a test run at the sellers property, that would tell a lot.
Maybe an all electric robotic mower would be of better service? I know, costs and availability in your area may be a factor.
You may have less problems paying for a lawn service.

These seem to be generic. They sell for about $1800 new. He's asking $900 which seems fair. All made in china by various companies. I've not run this one yet because I'm not able to drive to the sellers He did send me a video of it in action. He did offer to deliver it with pmnt on delivery so I guess I could back out if it wasn't as described. Parts and service definitely are an issue although I am a pretty fair mechanic. Some parts are available on ebay but none of the electronics. I did find out that replacement blades , which might wear out pretty quickly on my sandy soil , are $140/ set. OOPS.
I've tried some of the battery powered ones but they don't have enough power for my land which is pretty rough. This one also mows across a 45* slope .
I have been paying for lawn service but it's expensive (3 acres) and besides, what's the fun in that. I'm thinking that I could hitch my wheelchair to this baby and go.

However, there are a few more points to consider: if you’re using it on a delicate lawn, a tracked mower carries the risk of scratching the grass; but if you’re using it in areas with thickets or overgrown weeds, it’s absolutely perfect.
