Is there a diagram available to use to make sure all springs and conections on my governor are correct / present. The motor needed a valve seat replaced. Have all together, starts and runs ok but fluctuates terribly at idle and lower rpm. Have hood back off and inspected/ lubricated governor and tried to adjust a little but no change. Tried to locate diagrams on B&S site but can"t find any suitable to utilize.

Sorry I can't help you on this one and hopefully someone can, but I can tell you, for the next time, a simple way an old fellow showed me how to always get springs and linkages hooked back like they were originally.

Using Q-Tip, color code each connection on both ends, using all different colors, with a dab of paint before the linkages and springs are un-hooked . Be certain paint gets on both pieces. It makes for re-assembly a snap, especially those re-assemblies that may be months or years later.
