Hello new on this site. I am from a small town in Ontario Canada. I had been given a Harmony riding mower a 5 years ago and had been running fine. Last fall I was cutting the grass then took a break for about 20min. When I got on to start the machine it would not start, all it did was one click then nothing. I put it away for the winter and now that spring is here need to get the grass cut. It has gas and I have not checked the spark plug yet. Could a spark plug cause this? I was just wondering if it could be something different as it had just finished running and after shutting it off, for about 20 min it refused to restart last fall? Any ideas/suggestions would be helpful, Thank-you

check oil level on dipstick, purchase a spark tester from local auto parts store to see if you have spark, fresh gas in tank, check air & fuel filter for replacement. after you get it running & engine warmed up, you may want to change oil & filter. use Honda OEM parts.

Churchlady, maybe you can get some assistance from a brother in church, preferably mechanically inclined, that's what we're supposed to do, help one another. please keep us updated on how it's going with your Honda 1011. thanks, Mark

Thanks Mechanic Mark, yesterday I took out battery will get it tested and took off/out Air and Fuel filter, will get new for those. Also changed out spark plug. Oil level was fine, but will see if I can drain it out as it hasnt been changed in approx 5 yrs. Just not easy to get certain parts up around here... So will keep my fingers crossed, that these things work. I understand Honda's are good machines and will run forever. thanks again for your reply

Mark, I am not actually a "Churchlady" I just happen to live in an old church, ha ha...I do have neighbours, however they are not familiar with small engines, I can have it brought to town, but I am trying to do the repair myself, before I go that route. The machine was giving to me by sister after my brother in law passed away. I have drained the oil, changed the spark plug, will put back the battery and filters and give it a go. Keep your fingers crossed for me no pun intended...Will post my results, later. Thanks again for your help
