Honda Smoke

I purchased a Honda about 2 weeks ago. I dethatched today and used the mower to pick up the debris. The bag got full unexpectedly fast, so fast, only did 2 lines of my yard. The thatch jammed up under the deck and the blades got stuck. I didn't notice, the lawn mower stalled. I tried to turn it on twice, turned on, as soon as i engaged the blades it stalled. third time i tried engage blades, the mower sounded like blades engaged, but nothing spun, and then a lot of white or bluish smoke came from under the deck and around the engine, behind into the bag. Not sure of the color of the smoke, I was freaking out, quickly turned it off and turned off fuel line.

Then i looked underneath, removed the buildup, and mowed the rest of my lawn fine.

I wanted some opinions on this. Do you think I caused any damage. What could that smoke have been? It didn't smell like rubber burning, it was some weird smell. I looked at the belt, looks fine. Should I take it to a dealer or do you think i'm safe?
