I have an early RT 5000 with MM46 mower deck. The drive to driven mower belts are un available. Honda also has a MM46K1 A that has replacement belts. If I purchase the mule (idler), driven pulleys and the brackets, bolts and washers etc that are different from the MM46 will those parts function with the MM46 deck which has a different part no from the MM46k1 A Deck?

Rather than converting all those parts, you may be able to find an aftermarket belt that will work okay.

The "V-Belt, Drive" here (part number 76182-752-831) shows a general part number "LB-89" and in many cases, the last few digits = belt length in inches.

If you Google LB-89 Belt, a number of non-Honda belts show up; it might be worth trying one of these vs. converting all the pulleys, brackets, etc.

Thanks for the info. I have ordered two different 5/8 x 89" belts. One of them is made of Kevlar so hoping this works. I previously tried a Gates 6989 power rated belt it did not last very long maybe 6 or 8 cuttings. I recently tried a Gates BB85 which is made to bend backwards and has a small vee on the top side. It is thicker than the standard belt and lasted about 45 minutes before is broke in two. Earlier (3 or 4 years ago) I had also tried an 5/8 x 89" belt from the hardware store that did not last 2 cuttings. I'll post what happens to these belts when they arrive and have had time for several cuttings.
