True ignition coil failures are quite rare for Honda mowers. Have you done a spark test? Inspected / replaced the spark plug?
I will bet it is more likely to be a fuel delivery issue. How old is the fuel in the tank? Anything more than 45 days old is likely to have gone stale, and may have clogged up the jets in the carburetor. Second best guess is a choke problem...but, need to be 100% sure you've got good, bright spark first.
If you'll get me the full serial number on the back of the mower deck, I can share some basic troubleshooting tips:
